New Plugin: T(-) Countdown Events

The Plugin Oven is happy to announce the release of T(-) Countdown Events our first add-on plugin for both T(-) Countdown and T(-) Countdown Control. This add-on allows a list of timed events to be triggered at specific times before the countdown reaches zero.

Multiple events can be created and then associated to one or more countdowns. Each event is assigned a specific amount of time (days, hours, minutes and seconds) before the countdown launches where it can:

  • Insert HTML above or below the countdown
  • Insert HTML in a specific element based on element type, element ID or element class
  • trigger an external callback function

This add-on plugin is quite powerful in it’s current state, and more features will be added over the next months. While we continute to develope T(-) Countdown Events, we are making it available to early-adopters at a discounted rate.

Preflight Check: T(-) Countdown Control v1.6.0

pre_flight_whiteThe upcoming release of T(-) Countdown Control will include a number of changes that warrant a quick ‘pre-flight’ check before the plugin is updated. Before updating to version 1.6.0 or newer, please take a moment and check the following items to ensure the update will not cause a conflict with outdated themes or plugins on your site.

The first major difference that version 1.6.0 brings with it revolves around Meta Box by Tran Ngoc Tuan Anh. Meta Box is a very powerful plugin that many themes and plugins use to manage meta box and custom fields in WordPress. The recommended method of including the Meta Box plugin in themes/plugins has changed, and T(-) Countdown Control v1.6.0 uses this new recommended method.

However, this new method of loading the standard Meta-Box plugin might have conflicts with older themes and plugins that force-include their own ‘flavor’ of Meta-Box. Therefore we highly recommend that you check that your WordPress setup is able to install and activate the Meta-Box plugin before upgrading to version 1.6.0 or newer. Meta-Box is available directly from the WordPress Plugin Repository at:

Licence Key

As of version 1.6.0, the plugin registration and update functions have been replaced with our new licensing system. The plugin must now be registered using a valid licence key to continue to receive plugin updates and support. Licence keys may be viewed and managed at the Plugin Oven by logging into your account. Be sure you have secured your licence key before updating to version 1.6.0 or newer.

New Plugin: Collapse Commander

collapse_commander_stampTwinpictures is happy to announce it’s latest addition to the Plugin Oven: Collapse Commander. Collapse Commander is an add-on plugin that extends both the Collapse-O-Matic and Collapse-Pro-Matic plugins to include a powerful expand Element Manager.

If you are using a large number of expand elements, Collapse Commander allows you to manage them all in a single location. Another reason to consider Collapse Commander is that it reduces the expand shortcode clutter by only requiring the cid attribute.

Without Collapse Commander

[expand title="trigger text" id="this_element_id" trigclass="trigger_class" rel="this_group-highlander"]target content[/expand]

With Collapse Commander

[expand cid="512"/]

Special thanks to Vince Stross at for planting the seed that sprouted into this plugin.

Print-Pro-Matic v1.0

Print-Pro-Matic v1.0

Print-Pro-Matic v1.0

Twinpictures’ Plugin Oven announces the latest update to Print-Pro-Matic, an advanced content print plugin for WordPress. Print-Pro-Matic version 1.0 is fresh out of the Plugin Oven and offers a number of improvements and new features we think you will find quite useful.

Script Loading

The way in which the plugin loads the required scripts has been streamlined. The plugin can be set to only load the scripts on pages that use the print-me shortcode. This featured can be toggled on in the Plugin Options Page located under the Settings menu in the Dashboard.

Also new with this version is the ability to tell the plugin where to load the scripts: in the header or the footer. Loading scripts in the footer is a recommended practice as it helps speed up page load time and rendering, more and more a valid issue for Search Engine Optimization.

New Features

  • Internet Explorer workarounds have been added. Supporting IE is always a bit tricky, given the variations between versions—but we try
  • An optional jQuery clone.fix has been added to address known issues with cloning textarea elements
  • Two new target placeholders where added in version 1.0: %prev% and %next%. These placeholders may be used to print elements immediately preceding or following the print button
  • A new pause elements option has been added to allow remote elements such as iframes time to fully load before printing
  • A pause time option has also been added to control how long to pause before triggering print function
  • The .pot file has been updated and is now Print-Pro-Matic specific
  • Print-Pro-Matic may now be easily translated into any language using our online community translation tool
